Life Skills Workshop Series

Ever wish you could learn basic life skills while at school? Here is a series worth checking out!

Each quarter, our office will host various workshops with the goal of teaching skills you don’t often learn in the classroom. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact Andrew Oslin at oslina@wwu.edu

The National Society of Leadership and Success

The NSLS logo followed by the words "The National Society of Leadership and Success: Building Leaders Who Make a Better World."

National Society of Leadership & Success (NSLS) is an accredited honor society that strives to develop better leaders and promote personal growth. Our office advises the WWU Chapter executive board. The board organizes events required for induction, coordinate chapter activities, and provides support to chapter members.

Members must meet the criteria for membership and are invited through an email. If you accept the invitation, you’ll pay a one-time fee and then have access to a dashboard on the NSLS website that will specify meeting times, locations, and other activities. You will also receive emails from advisors and/or chapter leaders with announcements.

If you have any questions about NSLS and our chapter, please email the advisors: Jennifer Cook at jennifer.cook@wwu.edu and Andrew Oslin at oslina@wwu.edu. Alternatively, you may reach out to the national organization: help@nsls.org

Community Service Cohort

Small cohorts of students gather each quarter to learn together about what community service truly means, discussing ways in which leadership skills can be honed while working together to help make change in our community. Gatherings will be discussion based and each cohort member will participate in service of their choice, reporting back their experiences.

This is not an academic course and therefore cohort members do not receive any credit or other compensation. This is a voluntary and low-barrier way to be a changemaker at Western. If you are interested in a more academic focus, please consider:
